At last count, there were over 215 miles of scenic, recreation trails in Fairmount Park. There's a trail for everyone, from sidewalks, to off-road trails, to paths through the woods to walkways along a creek or river. So, don your sneakers, bike helmet, pedometer and head for the trail nearest you.

To improve your trail experience, please make sure to review the rules and regulations. Keep an eye out for markers which let you know who's permitted where. If you plan to use your bicycle or mountain bike on the trail, please fill out a Trail User Permit.

Information at your fingertips: Don't miss the new 25-mile Schuylkill River Trail which runs from downtown Philadelphia (making use of the Fairmount Park trails and the Manayunk Canal Tow Path) to Oaks in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. On a sunny, weekend day you'll see that many are taking advantage of this opportunity to get some exercise. For more information, including maps about the Schuylkill River Trail and its future development please click here.
