Step back in time and experience the splendor of Christmas! Holiday Tours of the Historic Fairmount Park Houses December 1-11, 2011 Plan your visit to the Historic Houses of Fairmount Park for their annual Holiday Tours. For two weeks only, six renowned Fairmount Park Houses put on their holiday finery and open their doors to the public for tours and special events. Trained docents will be on hand to point out each house's unique history, architecture and holiday decorations. It's the perfect setting to start your holiday season and reconnect with friends and family. Tour proceeds help sustain the ongoing work to protect and preserve these significant properties. Tour On Your Own Enjoy the Park Houses at your own pace with guides at each house. Hours: 10 am – 4 pm, Thursday—Sunday, December 1 – 4 & Wednesday—Sunday, December 7 – 11 Admission: $5 per person per house; Children 12 and under free Reservations not required. Free parking at all houses. Trolley Tours Include three Park Houses with guides at each house (random selection of houses). Hours: Thursday through Sunday, December 1-4 and 8-11, 10 am and 2 pm (tours last 2.5 hours): Tickets: $25 per person Reservations strongly recommended: 215-389-8687 or phillytour.com All tours depart from two locations at 10 am and 2 pm: • Please Touch Museum, Memorial Hall, 4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia, PA 19131 (GPS USERS: Use "4231 N. Concourse Drive"); Discounted parking ($8) in museum lot (pay inside at admissions desk) and free street parking available. SEPTA buses 38, 40, 43 and 64 stop within one block. Please Taste Café and Kids Store open for lunch, snacks and gifts! • NEW CENTER CITY PICK UP: Fairmount Park Welcome Center, 16th Street and JFK Boulevard; street and lot parking available. Across the street from Suburban Station access to Regional Rail, subway and trolley lines. Group Tours 15 people or more with your own transportation can reserve step-on trained Philadelphia Museum of Art Park House Guides. Hours: Daily, December 1 – 11; Mount Pleasant, Cedar Grove & Woodford through December 31. Admission: $8 per person per house, based on availability. Tours of select houses available year round.
