The Fairmount Park Organic Recycling Center is located at: 3850 Ford Road, Philadelphia, PA 19131 215-685-0108 Commercial Information The Fairmount Park Organic Recycling Center permits commercial businesses to dispose of leaves, grass clippings, brush, herbivore manure and wood chips for a tipping fee and to purchase screened leaf compost, shredded wood mulch, herbivore manure and wood chips. Commercial businesses are required to complete a registration form to participate in the recycling program. Registered businesses will receive permits that restrict them to certain roadways for hauling materials. Provided below is a link to the Registration Form along with a copy of the Compost Analysis Report highlighting the quality of the Center's screened leaf compost.
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3PM Saturday Hours: April 2 - November 26 7:30AM-11:30AM * Screened Leaf Compost is made from leaves and herbivore manure. No sewage or sludge material is used in the processing of the compost. The Park's compost is safe for gardens and is tested periodically to ensure high standards (see Compost Report). All disposed materials must be clean and delivered separately. No plastic bags, metal or trash of any kind will be accepted. Credit cards, checks ONLY. No cash accepted. Fairmount Park reserves the right to refuse disposal of any materials. |
