 Walnut Lane Golf Course Located within Fairmount Park's Wissahickon Valley Park you'll find this exquisite tract designed by legendary golf architect, Alex Findlay. Lined by majestic trees, this golf course opened for play in 1940. The unique layout will catch your eye as several of its holes are cleverly tucked away in hills and valleys. The undulating greens vary in size and are protected by deep bunkers that make accuracy a must. Try your skill at several of the tremendous par 3s. The 184-yard fifth hole is the most well-known on the course, holding the distinction of being a mild dogleg left par 3. Although Walnut Lane is the shortest of the Philadelphia public golf courses, it will challenge your mastery of the short game.
