Preserve Your Park Program
The Preserve Your Park Program entered the spotlight in March 2000. The premise is the "adoption" of a small,
manageable slice of park by volunteers. Side benefits include learning more about plants, animals and ecology plus
proper techniques for environmental restoration. Come meet neighbors and fellow volunteers who share a common bond. A healthy park for all to enjoy.
As a participant in the program, we ask you to follow these simple, yet important guidelines:
- Participate for a minimum of one year
- Volunteer at least three times in one year
- Have adequate adult supervision for volunteers under 18 years old
- Notify the Park's volunteer coordinator at least two weeks in advance of each scheduled work day
- Focus on tasks and priorities specified by the Fairmount Park Commission
- Be willing to work with other people
Join us. Fill out a Preserve Your Park form.
You'll be in good company.
