Picnic Sites and Belmont Grove Fairmount Park has many great sites thoughtout the Park system. Be the impetus behind a picnic for your friends, family, relatives and/or colleagues. Just call 215-685-0060 for more information on locations. Fairmount Park at Belmont Grove! The Grove is a gated picnic area with two picnic pavilions, water & electric hook-ups, 8 picnic tables, 3 charcoal grills, 2 horseshoe pits, 1 volleyball court and 1 softball field. The site offers indoor restroom facilities, 135 vehicle fenced parking lot and sports equipment (horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, softball & bats and football) that is available upon request. The Grove accommodates large gatherings and is available from May thru October. All proceeds benefit Fairmount Park.... click here for additional photos.... Prerequisites for a fun, relaxing day in Fairmount Park: Permits are required for all groups of 75 or more. However, it is recommend that a party of any size obtain a permit otherwise a site is on a first come basis! The permit will reserve your date and location. Fees apply.
