Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust

Chartered in 1992, the Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust, Inc. (the Trust) was created to address the City of Philadelphia's significant historic properties which were abandoned and underutilized in Fairmount Park. The Trust is a non-profit corporation which helps the Fairmount Park Commission restore, rehabilitate and manage the historic properties.

Conservation Project
Repointing Bellaire Manor
As part of the Trust preservation plan, public and private organizations were identified which could restore and maintain the sites through long-term leases. The result? Several properties have been restored and are now financially self-sufficient.
In 1997 the Trust created the Conservation Program in which architectural conservators assess the conservation, maintenance and repair needs of the historic properties and design appropriate treatments.
