American Swedish Historical Museum

Have you ever seen the pageantry of the Lucia Festival? Are you contemplating a visit to Sweden but would like more info? Interested in Pennsylvania history before William Penn? America's oldest Swedish museum right here in South Philly addresses these questions. FDR Park's American Swedish Historical Museum was founded in 1926 on land granted to a Swedish colonist by Queen Christina. A work of art in its own right, the museum is a sight worth seeing, with beautiful murals, interesting exhibits, and one-of-a-kind treasures.
